Workspaces
What a workspace holds, how the one you sign in to is chosen, and what deleting a workspace removes.
A workspace is the container everything you build in EchoNova lives in: its agents, its knowledge, its tools, its conversations, its speech jobs, its API keys and its subscription. This page gives you the model, so you know what belongs to your workspace and what stays with your account.
Everything belongs to a workspace
Every item you create in the portal is owned by a workspace, not by you.
In the workspace
---
Agents, their knowledge, their tools, their conversations and analytics
Workspace secrets, auth connections and database connections
Text to speech, speech to text and sound cleaning jobs, and the History and Assets lists they fill
API keys, webhooks and request logs
The subscription, its credits, its plan limits and its invoices
A few things are yours rather than the workspace's: your name and profile, your sign-in methods and two-factor setting, your theme and language, and your notifications.
Your workspace is created at sign-up
Creating an account creates a workspace with it. It is named after you, as Your name's workspace, from the name you typed at sign-up or the name your Google or Microsoft account carries. You are its Owner and it comes with a trial subscription.
Its name is set when the account is created, and it is the workspace every sign-in opens.
Deleting a workspace
Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace, and the workspace created at sign-up cannot be deleted. Deleting removes the workspace and everything in it: it leaves our live systems within 30 days and our backups within a further 35 days. Data retention lists what each delete removes.
To have a workspace deleted, write to privacy@echonova.ai from the owner's account with the workspace name.
Worked example
Sara signs up with the name Sara Ahmed. Her account gets a workspace named
Sara Ahmed's workspace with her as Owner and a trial subscription. She
builds two agents and uploads a policy document; both belong to the workspace.
