Voice Usage Policy.
This policy applies to every voice used through the EchoNova platform: library voices recorded by artists who work with us, EchoNova voices, and cloned voices. It forms part of the Platform Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy, and it is shown to voice owners as the rules that bind every user.
1. The principle
A voice is held in trust. EchoNova commits to voice owners that their voices will be used only within these rules, and every user accepts them as a condition of access to the voices.
2. Lawful use in every country
All content generated with any voice must comply with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and of every country where the content is generated, published or heard, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait and the other countries the platform serves. The user is responsible for knowing and following those laws.
3. Prohibited content
No platform voice may be used for:
3.1 sexual, pornographic or suggestive content;
3.2 religious content: anything that addresses or touches on religions, beliefs or religious figures;
3.3 political, electoral or partisan content, including propaganda, campaigns, and support for or opposition to any political party or body;
3.4 harmful content: violence, terrorism and extremism, self-harm, hate and discrimination, harassment and bullying, fraud, disinformation and fake news, defamation;
3.5 content aimed at minors, or concerning minors in an inappropriate way;
3.6 any use that breaks applicable law.
4. Voice owners' identity
4.1 Library voices are shown under a stage name or the owner's own name, as each voice owner chooses.
4.2 A voice owner's name, image or identity may not be used, and nothing may imply that they endorse a product, service, organisation, person or opinion, or attribute any statement to them.
4.3 Generated content may not be presented as a real recording of the voice owner or of any real person.
5. Protection of voice models
5.1 Library voices are licensed for use inside the platform only. They may not be cloned, extracted, trained on, used to fine-tune other models, or redistributed.
5.2 No voice may be cloned without the documented consent of its owner. Public figures, officials and voices on EchoNova's blocked list may not be cloned. EchoNova may require identity and consent verification before enabling cloning.
6. Disclosure and watermark
6.1 Audio must be disclosed as AI-generated wherever a listener could reasonably believe it is a recording of a real person. In voice conversations, callers must be told they are speaking with an automated assistant (Acceptable Use Policy, section 1.1).
6.2 Every audio file generated through the platform carries an inaudible watermark identifying its origin. It may not be removed, disabled or tampered with.
7. Records and evidence
EchoNova keeps generation records (account, time, voice used, text and audio identifiers, network data) for up to 12 months. If a breach of this policy is reported, EchoNova will provide the voice owner or affected person with all the evidence it holds on the use in question. The user in breach bears full legal liability for the breach.
8. Reporting and enforcement
8.1 Anyone, including voice owners, may report a breach at abuse@echonova.ai or through the report form in the platform.
8.2 We review every report, acknowledge it within two business days, and decide within ten business days. We may remove content, suspend or close the account, and block access to voices.
8.3 A user may appeal an enforcement decision within 14 days by writing to the same address.
9. Withdrawal of voices
A voice may be withdrawn from the library at any time. On withdrawal, no new content is generated with that voice; existing voice-agent deployments get up to 90 days to move to another voice. Content generated before the withdrawal remains as it is.
10. General
This policy is governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE. It is published in Arabic and English; where the law requires it, the Arabic version prevails. It may be updated with notice under the Platform Terms.
