# Connect EchoNova to Claude

Add EchoNova as a connector in Claude, see what each tool does, who can connect, how to disconnect, and how your data is handled.

EchoNova works as a connector in Claude. Once it is connected, you can ask
Claude to find an Arabic voice, turn text into speech, transcribe audio or
clean a recording, and Claude calls EchoNova for you.

## Connect

1. In Claude, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**.
2. Add a custom connector with this URL: `https://mcp.echonova.ai/mcp`
3. Sign in to EchoNova when Claude opens the sign-in page.
4. Choose the workspace Claude may use.
5. Select **Allow**.

Claude now shows EchoNova as connected. Calls it makes are charged to the
workspace you chose.

Once EchoNova appears in Claude's connector directory, you can also add it
from there.

## What each tool does

| Tool                 | What it does                                                                               |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `find_arabic_voices` | Lists EchoNova voices you can use, with their dialect and style. Free.                     |
| `text_to_speech`     | Turns text into audio with a voice you pick. Takes up to 5,000 characters.                 |
| `speech_to_text`     | Turns an audio file into text. Takes audio up to 60 seconds.                               |
| `clean_audio`        | Removes noise from a recording and returns the cleaned file. Takes audio up to 10 minutes. |

Text to speech, speech to text and audio cleaning cost the same credits as
the API. See the rates on [Credits](/docs/developers/credits). Finding voices
is free. If the workspace runs out of credits, Claude tells you and the tool
stops.

## Who can connect

The owner of a workspace, or a developer admin of it, can connect Claude to
that workspace. Anyone else sees a message that they need one of those roles.

## Disconnect

Open EchoNova and go to Developers, then Connected apps, then Disconnect.
Claude loses access at once.

Changing your password or signing out everywhere also disconnects Claude.

## Your data

- Download links for generated and cleaned audio work for 1 hour.
- Files are deleted within 1 day.
- Every audio file generated on the platform carries an inaudible watermark
  identifying it as produced by EchoNova.
- When you generate audio or text, we keep a record of the generation for up
  to 12 months. The [Privacy Policy](/trust/privacy) lists what the record holds.
- Tool results appear in your Claude conversation. Claude handles them under
  Anthropic's terms.
